A European beverage distributor wrapping high pallet volumes daily was using a basic stretch film that consumed a lot of material per pallet and occasionally allowed load shift in transit. Rising film spend and packaging-sustainability targets pushed them to reduce plastic per pallet without risking stability on dense, heavy beverage loads.
Greenstrix supplied multi-layer co-extruded LLDPE machine film with a high pre-stretch yield, and advised on setting the wrapper's pre-stretch ratio higher while reinforcing the top and bottom of the load. Samples were validated on the distributor's turntable wrappers to confirm cling, yield and load-holding before switching.
